“90 Day Fiance”'s Mary Clarifies Colon Cancer Claim: 'I Made a Mistake'
The statement comes after her husband, Brandan, shared a fundraising page over the weekend to help raise money to support a cancer-removing surgery for Mary
Days after issuing a plea to her followers for financial support for her medical treatments, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s Mary Denucciõ revealed she does not, in fact, have cancer.
Over the weekend, her husband Brandan shared a link to a fundraising page on his Instagram Story as he asked his followers to help pay for surgery to “remove [Mary’s] colon cancer.” On the fundraising page, which has since been deleted, Mary wrote that she had been “diagnosed with colon cancer” on Friday after experiencing symptoms on and off since high school, which she thought was “normal.”
Mary rolled back her diagnosis with a statement on her Instagram Story Tuesday as she apologized for the post, writing, “I made a mistake.”

The 23-year-old wrote that she was told by a doctor that she has a “colon issue,” so she “thought that means I have colon cancer” and she “panicked.”
“I got anxiety attack and I thought I have colon cancer and posted it without thinking. It’s my fault and I’m very sorry about it,” she continued, before asking people to stop “harassing” her.
“I’m just a human. I’m in pain right now and the pain won’t go away. I kept throwing up and I feel so weak. The doctor says my liver is inflamed and I have blood infection, UTI and hemorrhoids. We are still waiting for another laboratory test for my colon.”
Fans were quick to cast doubt on her alleged colon cancer diagnosis after the fundraising page Mary started — and Brandan shared on his Instagram Story — was halted on Monday, with the reason listed as “GoGetFunding has been requested or required to stop this campaign.”
In the description of the fundraising page, Mary wrote that she was “scared of the surgery” she believed she had to have due to her symptoms because of her C-section over the summer to give birth to her and Brandan's daughter Midnight. She claimed her doctor told her the cancer needs to “be removed before it’s too late.”
Mary also wrote that she doesn’t have “financial support” to fund the procedure as she’s the “only one working in the family.”

The international couple — Brandan hails from the U.S. while Mary is from the Philippines, where the couple now live — got married on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which aired this fall. They welcomed their 6-month-old daughter prior to saying “I do,” despite Mary’s family’s conservative beliefs.
“Brandan is here now in person, and I really love him and I feel ready to give my all to him," she said in an episode about their decision to try for a baby together.
On their wedding day, Brandan said he loves Mary “more than anything” as he said his vows. “Mary, I haven't met anyone that could make me feel the way that you make me feel. And I promise you that you would never have to worry about me abandoning you.”
In her vows, she told Brandan, “I just want you to know that I love you so much. I know that we're fighting a lot, but I want to spend my life, my whole life, with you forever.”
