“That 90s Show” Season 2 Trailer Teases All-Star Cameos and Exposes 'Web of Lies' from Finale's Shocking Almost Kiss

'That 90s Show', a spinoff from the hit series 'That 70s Show', returns for Part 2 on June 27 and Part 3 on October 24

That '90s Show fans can rejoice, as it's almost time to head back to Point Place!

The first trailer for season 2 of the Netlifx comedy teases more zany fun, teen rebellion and mischief ahead for Eric Forman (Topher Grace) and Donna Pinciotti's (Laura Prepon) daughter, Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), as she reunites with her boyfriend, Jay (Mace Coronel), and their friends Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide), Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), Ozzi (Reyn Doi) and Nikki (Sam Morelos) for a jam-packed summer.

And of course, much of the fun takes place within the iconic Forman home, where Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and Red (Kurtwood Smith) can keep a watchful eye over their granddaughter.

But before the fun can commence, Leia is taking her first stab at learning how to drive, getting assistance from Kitty and Red — and fellow grandparent Bob Pinciotti (Don Stark) — along the way. However, this was all much to her chagrin.

"This is my first time on the highway," says Leia as Kitty snaps a candid shot of the moment, almost blinding her granddaughter and causing a near crash. Red exclaims, "Grab the wheel!"

Leia, however, has bigger reasons to "freak out" despite being excited to return to her home away from home in Point Place.

For fans who may remember, the That '70s Show spinoff's season one finale wrapped with a shocking almost kiss between Leia and Nate, despite their respective relationships with Jay and Nikki. To Leia's concerns about everything imploding, Ozzi notes that she "should be" nervous.

"You almost hooked up with her brother, didn't tell your boyfriend, he didn't tell his girlfriend," Ozzi says as the pair are in conversation with Nate's sister, Gwen. "And now, we're all stuck in a web of lies."

Unfortunately for Leia, the big secret doesn't appear to stay in hiding for long. The next scene cuts to Nate jumping off the water tower — an iconic landmark frequently featured in the OG Fox series — as Jay follows after him, saying: "You're dead!"

"They know," Nate later says. "They know everything!"

And despite her wrongdoing, Leia feels like her beau Jay isn't exactly innocent, either. "I'm sick of chasing after you like I'm the only one who needs to apologize," Leia tells Jay.

"Is it this hard with you and Nikki?" Jay later asks Nate, who responds, "If we got past me calling her grandma hot, we'll make it through anything."

Drama aside, the gang continues to navigate other teenage problems amid their summer fun, from shoplifting to partying and getting a summer job. In fact, Leia and Gwen's boss is Leia's parents' former classmate Mitch Miller, played by Seth Green.

Upon introducing herself as Leia Forman, Green's Mitch says, "You wouldn't be related to an Eric Forman, would you? 'Cause that guy stole my smokin' hot Donna!"

Green is one of the many all-star celebrity guests appearing in the new season. Prepon, Stark, Tommy Chong and Andrea Anders will also return alongside additional guest stars, including former That '70s Show writer and producer Will Forte, Lisa Loeb, Carmen Electra, Wayne Knight, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Matt Rife and Kadeem Hardison.

That '90s Show premiered on Netflix in January 2023, nearly 17 years after That '70s Show concluded in May 2006 after eight seasons.

The new iteration follows Eric and Donna's daughter, Leia, as she spends the summer of 1995 at her grandparents Kitty and Red's home in Point Place, Wisconsin. While there, she gets into all kinds of fun and shenanigans upon forming bonds with some of the local teenagers.

Per a synopsis from Netflix about the new season, "It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red. Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate."

"Nate is concerned that his girlfriend, Nikki, doesn’t know either. How long can they keep this secret? Turns out, not long at all," the description continues. "And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started."
