Actor Aloysius Pang's condition worsens after training incident; now critical

Singapore actor Aloysius Pang‘s condition has worsened, says the Ministry of Defence (Mindef).

According to a Mindef news release, Corporal First Class (NS) Pang’s condition had worsened and required additional surgery late Tuesday night. The operation was completed close to midnight.

Pang’s condition is critical and he is being managed in the intensive care unit of Waikato Hospital in New Zealand.

The Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Singapore’s Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Dr Teo Li Tserng, arrived in New Zealand on Tuesday and had been working with the medical team there to “provide the best care” for Pang, Mindef said.

Pang had been reported as being alert and in stable condition Tuesday.
