Adam Lambert's interviews were a hit. (ITV)

Adam Lambert fans are calling for the singer to get his own podcast series after being impressed by his interviewing skills.

The American Idol star and Queen singer fronted ITV documentary Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud, where he spoke to people in the music industry about their experiences of being gay and famous.

His chats were such a hit with viewers that they were left asking for more, praising Lambert's style of questioning.

Lambert had plenty of his own shocking experiences of being gay and in the music industry to share in ITV documentary Out, Loud and Proud - at one point, he told how he had been asked onto US morning TV to apologise for kissing a man on stage, where a clip of the moment blurred out their lips.

But he wasn't the only one with important stories to tell, and viewers praised the singer's ability to interview huge stars with skill and empathy.

Skin opened up on her experiences of fame. (ITV)

Amongst the most revealing interviews was Lambert's chat with Skunk Anansie star Skin, who talked about the prejudice she faced during the height of her success.

She said: "People would always ask me, what's more important to you - being Black, being gay or being female? I can't separate out those parts of me...I come to everything as a Black, gay woman from Brixton."

Lambert and Skin also looked back over Skunk Anansie's headline slot at Glastonbury, which despite having been packed out with the festival's crowds, she said had been all but forgotten as it got so little coverage in the press.

Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud streams on ITVX.
