Adele may make cameo in upcoming movie

13 Nov – Grammy Award-winning Adele has been bitten by the acting bug. The singer is reportedly in negotiations for a cameo appearance in Xavier Dolan's upcoming movie, "The Death and Life of John F Donovan".

"I'm sure I'll get some flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier," Adele said to UK's Kiss FM, as quoted by The Guardian.

"I would be in a film for him, definitely."

The 27-year-old mother of one most recently worked with the Canadian director on the music video for her new hit single, "Hello", which set a new record on video-sharing platform Vevo when it garnered 27.7 million views in its first 24 hours.

If the deal comes through, this will mark the singer's movie acting debut. Though the songstress is no stranger to the movie industry, as she previously wrote and sang the same name theme song to 2012 Bond movie, "Skyfall".

The song went on to win Best Original Song at the 87th Annual Academy Awards while also earning Adele a Golden Globe for the same category at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards.

In the first English-language project from the 26-year-old director, Adele – if she were to cameo – would be brushing shoulders with the likes of Jessica Chastain, Kit Harington, Susan Sarandon and Kathy Bates.

"The Death and Life of John F Donovan" follows an actor whose correspondence with an 11-year-old is exposed to the public, putting him in a media circus that begins to destroy his life and career.
