CM Punk returned to AEW last month on the debut episode of Collision, making his first appearance for the company since All Out last September.

Punk, who was stripped of the AEW World Championship following the famous post-All Out scrum, had brought with him a bag but never revealed what was actually inside it.

But on Saturday's edition of Collision (July 29) Punk finally opened the bag to reveal the title he never actually lost, the AEW World Championship.

Taking the belt out of the bag, Punk then spray painted an 'X' on it and declared himself the 'Real World Champion'.

Punk was then challenged to a match by Ricky Starks – the man who, earlier this month, beat him in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, after he held the rope while the referee was distracted.

Wanting to ensure Starks couldn't cheat again, Punk said there would have to be a special referee for the match, one who wouldn't let Starks get away with any antics.

After teasing who it would be, Punk announced that wrestling legend Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat will be the one making sure Starks doesn't try to use any more sneaky tactics to get the win.

Along with Punk vs Starks, next week's Collision will also see Kris Statlander defend her TBS Championship against Mercedes Martinez, while FTR will put the Tag Team Championship on the line against Big Bill Brian Cage.

AEW's next big event is All Out at Wembley Stadium which will take place on August 27. So far no matches have been announced for the show.
