After weeks of teases, AEW has finally revealed the fifth member of The Elite's team for this year's Blood and Guts match.

The Blood and Guts match will take place on next week's edition of Dynamite (July 19) from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, and will see The Elite take on the Blackpool Combat Club.

On Wednesday's edition of Dynamite, Don Callis made the reveal of who would be joining the Blackpool Combat Club, with PAC returning from injury to attack Kenny Omega.

However, before PAC could take out Omega for good, he had a surprise of his own as he threw to a video which revealed Kota Ibushi as The Elite's fifth member.

This means the match is now Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and Hangman Adam Page vs Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC.

Ibushi had been fans' top choice to join The Elite's team thanks to his long history with Omega, which was documented in 2019 film Omega Man: A Wrestling Love Story.

Back in 2009, the pair formed The Golden Lovers in Japanese promotion DDT, before going to NJPW.

In early 2018, Omega and Ibushi were involved in a memorable storyline in NJPW, eventually leading to The Golden Lovers defeating The Young Bucks at Strong Style Evolved.

The team came to an end after Omega signed with AEW in 2019 and Ibushi stayed with NJPW until his departure earlier this year.

On Twitter following Dynamite, Ibushi wrote: "Kept you waiting huh. I've been watching AEW this whole time. Kenny, your 5th man is...the Golden Elite's Kota Ibushi!!

"Sorry I'm late Page, Bucks, Kenny. Next week I'll be there!! Kota Ibushi is finally back at full strength so shall we change the world together? Let's go!!"
