AEW gave fans a Thanksgiving gift on their special edition of Dynamite on Wednesday (November 23) with the return of one of their most popular wrestlers.

Danhausen made his long-awaited return on the show, after being sidelined since March when he suffered a torn pec at the Revolution pay-per-view.

On Dynamite, Orange Cassidy teamed with Hook and Shibata in a trios match against Jake Hager, Daddy Magic, and Angelo Parker.

Ahead of the match, Cassidy told fans he had a Thanksgiving surprise for everyone, before Danhausen appeared.

Danhausen's return was teased by AEW for a number of weeks, with vignettes set to music from Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

Following his comeback, Danhausen wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Danhausen saved Shibata. Now Danhausen is all pure wrestling fans number one hero."

Danhausen signed with AEW in January 2022, making his debut on the special 'Beach Break' edition of Dynamite during the Lights Out match between Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole.

He was previously signed to Ring of Honor, where he gained popularity thanks to his, 'very nice, very evil' character, who has a penchant for 'cursing' wrestlers.

Celebrating his anniversary with AEW earlier this year, Danhausen wrote on X: "1 year ago Danhausen debuted for @AEW & became Very Elite, Very Evil.

"Thank you @TonyKhan for giving Danhausen a television job while still having a broken leg & only being half powerful. You'll never get a Danhausen curse because of this. 2023 ~ Danhausen takes over television."
