Alan Tam's son to release debut album next year
19 Oct – After rejecting his father's offer to study abroad, Hong Kong superstar Alan Tam's only son, Tam Hiu Fung will be making his singing debut next year.
According to Asian Crunch website, rumour has it that after being introduced to Alan Tam's old friend, Duncan Huang who is also the Vice President of Universal Music, son Tam Hiu Fung will be recording his debut album at the end of 2012 for a scheduled release of summer 2013.
17-year-old Tam Hiu Fung, who is due to graduate from school next year, caught the singer by surprise when he voiced out his determination to join the entertainment industry. Alan Tam once told the media that he didn't want his son to follow his footsteps due to the pressures and expectations set on second generation stars.
However, taking her wife Sally's advice, the 62-year-old superstar allegedly decided to fulfil his son's request to introduce him to some big names in the music business for a smoother transition into the industry.
