Alec and Hilaria Baldwin Reflect on 'Ups and Downs' in 12th Wedding Anniversary Tributes to Each Other

"In spite of some tough times for me, I wouldn’t trade any of it," Alec wrote to his wife on Instagram on Sunday, June 30

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin are marking 12 years of marriage.

In separate posts on Instagram on Saturday, June 30, the couple both referenced "ups and downs" they have faced together since tying the knot in 2012.

"June 30, 2012. Although I fell in love with you the moment I met you, marrying you seemed like a dream," Alec, 66, began the caption of his tribute, which featured photos from the couple's wedding day.

"Good and bad. Ups and downs. 7 kids. (Plus Ireland, Andre and Holland.) Four dogs. Four cats. In spite of some tough times for me, I wouldn’t trade any of it," the actor continued, referencing his eldest child Ireland, her partner and his granddaughter, Holland. Ireland's mother is Alec's ex-wife Kim Basinger.

"Happy Anniversary. You are my gift," the 30 Rock alum concluded his sentimental post to Hilaria, 40.

The carousel of photos that Alec posted included a recent candid selfie that he took with his wife. In the image, Hilaria rests her head on the actor's shoulder with her eyes closed as Alec stares up at the camera.

The intimate snapshot is the only photo that the yoga instructor included in her tribute to her husband.

"Happy 12 years of marriage, Alec…not only have there been joyful ups and sad downs that life inevitably brings, but we have also experienced everything from sideways, zigzags, tremendous love and also things that are so painfully and plainly backwards," Hilaria wrote alongside the photo.

"We hang on tight…hold on to family and friends to source our comfort and energy. Lean in to gratitude to brighten every day. How lucky am I to have you and our children, Alec," she continued.

She then apologized to her followers for not posting on Instagram as much anymore, but thanked them for their support.

"I hope you feel how much your kindness is a gift that we will forever treasure," she continued, before ending the post with a final message for her husband: "I love you, Alec ❤️."

The couple's wedding anniversary comes just two days after Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer upheld the involuntary manslaughter charge against Alec for the third time in five weeks, meaning that a trial will proceed in July.

Alec's involuntary manslaughter charge stems from a July 2021 incident in which he was holding a prop gun on the set of the movie Rust when it discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

His impending trial comes in the midst of raising his seven young children with Hilaria: Ilaria Catalina Irena, 20 months, María Lucía Victoria, 3, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 3, Romeo Alejandro David, 6, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 7, Rafael Thomas, 8, and Carmen Gabriela, 10.
