Alex Murdaugh: Prosecutor points rifle at witness’s head to disprove defence’s theory

A prosecutor in Alex Murdaugh’s double-murder trial on Tuesday held a rifle over a witness’s head in an attempt to disprove the defence’s account of the shooting.

In a graphic courtroom demonstration, witness Dr Kenny Kinsey and South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson acted out the defence’s version of how Paul Murdaugh was murdered – with the killer shooting him in the back of the head at point-blank range.

As the scenario unfolded, Dr Kinsey testified that the state of the crime scene was inconsistent with the defence theory - which he also called “preposterous”.
