Alix Earle Speaks on 'Healthy' Relationship with Braxton Berrios and Spills on Drama with His Ex Sophia Culpo

The TikToker uploaded a tell-all episode of her podcast ‘Hot Mess with Alix Earle’ on Dec. 28

Alix Earle is closing out 2023 with some piping-hot tea.

This year, fans become fully invested in Earle's relationship with NFL star Braxton Berrios and the rocky — and very public — drama with his ex-girlfriend Sophia Culpo that ensued.

Now, the 23-year-old influencer is sharing her side of the story on her podcast, Hot Mess with Alix Earle.

For those not in the know, Earle doesn't name Berrios, 28, or Culpo, 27, in the episode at all. She instead references them as "NFL man" and his "ex" respectively.

In a new tell-all episode, released on Thursday, Earle breaks down the timeline of her romance with Berrios, starting off with their hangout at a Super Bowl party in February. Nothing happened between the two, says Earle (who was previously linked to "baseball boy" Tyler Wade), but Berrios removed her as an Instagram follower.

Berrios told Earle — and also said in a public statement about ending his relationship — that he and Culpo split in January. Culpo confirmed their split in March but disagreed with Berrios' claim about how the relationship fell apart.

According to Earle, Berrios had flown to Los Angeles that weekend to seek closure with Culpo, who found out about his and Earle's meeting.

Earle later speaks on her helicopter date with Berrios in March and their trip to the Hamptons in June, when she teased her romance on TikTok. "Things are going great with NFL man at this point," she says of her then-status with the Miami Dolphins star.

However, things took a turn when Culpo accused the athlete of cheating on her with Earle and seemingly shaded Earle in a now-deleted TikTok.

"NFL man's ex comes out and basically starts talking her s--- online, basically going along with this narrative that I was a homewrecker in their relationship," remembers Earle, denying the accusations.

She adds that she was "upset" about the online gossip and the "girl-against-girl" nature of it all.

"I was just not at a great place," Earle says, adding that the "homewrecker" label circulating on the internet was "the most triggering thing" (in 2008, Earle's father, Thomas Earle, was caught having an affair with Ashley Dupré, who is now her stepmom).

Earle later says that Culpo messaged her via Instagram to apologize for the publicity. "I said, 'Appreciate you reaching out. It's been hard on me being blamed for something I didn't do. I hope we can all just move on.' "

In September, Culpo appeared on Kristen Gaffney and her sister Aurora Culpo's Barely Filtered podcast, again discussing her relationship with Berrios, alluding to his suspected cheating.

"It was getting a little messy," Earle says in the podcast episode of Culpo's accusation, remembering her anger at the situation.

Now, Berrios and Earle, who confirmed their coupling in November, are going strong. Later on the episode, Earle says they're in a "healthy relationship."

"I really do appreciate NFL man, and he is the best and is so respectful of me and I'm trying to be my best self."

She says their bond has been built on good communication. "I don't think we've ever had a fight about anything," she shares.
