Amanda Holden lands 'dream job' with Netflix
Amanda Holden has landed her "dream job" with Netflix.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge will reportedly earn £500,000 to host a new dating show for the streaming service, with 'Cheaters: Unfinished Business' offering a "conceptual twist" in that it follows eight former couples reuniting after one party was unfaithful to the other.
Amanda told The Sun newspaper: "Sometimes dreams really do come true. All my career I always wanted to host a show about love and relationships - and this is it.
"A series about second chances and unfinished business. I can’t wait to meet and help these couples work out whether they can forgive and forget. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of it."
The programme will introduce Amanda to a wider audience around the world.
A source said: “This is a massively exciting new chapter for Amanda, and she reckons the best is yet to come.”
The news comes a few weeks after the 53-year-old star was embroiled in a public row with Sharon Osbourne after she defended Simon Cowell in the wake of the criticism he received from the showbiz matriarch and their fellow former 'X Factor' star during their stint on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
But Amanda insisted the spat was a "storm in a tea cup" and she's confident she and Sharon can put the situation behind them.
She said: “Sharon and I have met lots of times and always got on well. I’d like to think we’ll bump into each other again one day soon and have a laugh. I was protecting a friend when asked about the situation. It really was a storm in a tea cup."
The former 'Cutting It' actress - who has to daughters with husband Chris Hughes - is also kept busy with her Heart FM show and partnerships with the likes of QVC, Lipsky and Revolution, and friends are in awe of her work ethic.
A source said: "Amanda is like a Duracell bunny - she literally never stops.
"When she's not out running or doing some sort of athletic yoga, she's networking, filming, partying or being a brilliant mum to her two daughters - not necessarily in that order.
"She's also a fearless negotiator, and an underrated businesswoman. This whole thing with Sharon Osbourne didn't bother her one bit - she's fiercely loyal to her mates, and Simon [Cowell] has been excellent to her.
"She is also well aware that you never bite the hand that feeds you."
