Dancing on Ice's Amber Davies has one goal in mind for her stint in the rink – getting further in the competition than her ex-boyfriend and fellow Love Island star Kem Cetinay did.

Sharing her hopes ahead of the show premiering on Sunday (January 14), the former Love Islander turned West End star joked that her "aim" is to beat Kem.

"So my aim is to beat the ex-boyfriend," she said in a preview video for the new series, whilst practising getting confident on the skates.

Amber and Kem met on the third season of Love Island, which aired in 2017. Both entered the villa on day one, ultimately winning the dating show as a couple. They announced they'd gone their separate ways in December of that year.

Kem finished fourth in Dancing on Ice's 2018 series, going on to become its backstage presenter in 2019 and 2020.

On Dancing on Ice, Amber is paired with pro skater Simon Proulx-Sénécal, while this year's celebrity line-up also includes the likes of Emmerdale's Roxy Shahidi, Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire, S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, boxing champion Ricky Hatton and Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney.

Amber also got candid about her skills in the rink, admitting she's not a natural.

"I'm definitely not a natural skater," she said, adding: "Put it like this, I don't think I'll be in the Olympics."

Amber has previously shared her insights into the show's training regime, admitting she was in dire need of some comfort after a session in the rink.

"When I tell you today was the definition of blood, sweat and tears. Literally all 3," Amber said in a behind-the-scenes clip posted to her Instagram.

"I am in need of a hot bath. Potentially another cry. And 100% vodka, on the rock straight, no mixer."

Dancing on Ice premieres this Sunday (January 14), airing on ITV1 and ITVX.
