American Horror Stories is set to return for four new frightening episodes just in time for Halloween.

The American Horror Story anthology spin-off tells a new terrifying tale each episode, with previous episodes seeing the return of the show's infamous Rubber Man, a satanic Santa Claus, the discovery of the cure for Smallpox, and a quaint dolls house with a twist.

The episodes are part of Hulu's Huluween programming and will come to the streaming service on October 26 in the US, as reported by Deadline. The new instalments do not yet have a UK release date.

Details of the episodes are being kept tightly under wraps, though the publication previously confirmed Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna will appear in an episode titled 'Tapeworm'.

It comes after the premiere date for the twelfth series of American Horror Story has been announced, starring Emma Stone, Cara Delevigne and Kim Kardashian.

FX shared a photo on its official Instagram page of Stone in character cradling an enormous spider like a baby bump, alongside the words: "Don't worry. We'll hold you." As well as this sneak peek of the series, the post confirmed the series will return to our screens on September 20.

Based on the upcoming book Delicate Condition by Danielle Rollins, the series will also feature Succession's Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Pose star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez.

AHS icons Denis O'Hare and Zachary Quinto are also set to appear, with the latter praising newcomer Kardashian on her acting debut.

"I did a cameo on this season of American Horror Story and I got to meet her. She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don't think she needs my advice," he told People.

"She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness. I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she's gonna do a wonderful job."

American Horror Stories airs on FX in the US, and streams on Disney+ in the UK. American Horror Story airs on FX in the US and Disney+ in the UK, where seasons 1-9 are also available to buy on Prime Video.
