Amy Poehler surprised fans with a song to say farewell to 2023.

The comedian sang along to the Beatles hit "Yesterday" in a TikTok video on Thursday, with piano accompaniment thanks to the gentleman she stitched her video with.

"Favorite melancholy song for favorite melancholy week," she captioned the video, in which she was wearing black-rimmed glasses and a festive green sweater.

After assuring the man she understood his instructions, Poehler launched into a soothing rendition of the classic song written by Paul McCartney.

In the comments of the video, people expressed surprise that she could carry a tune and she turned the jokes back on, asking people if she sounded "too cringe."

"Will prob delete," the Parks and Recreation star replied to a user who said they were "living" for her content.

Poehler posted another video on Thursday thanking content creators and her followers on the platform.

"I just wanted to say thank you for getting me through life over the past couple of years," she said in the video, while walking outside. She admitted she was trying to practice being "vulnerable and grateful in real-time."

"I have seen so much deeply funny, thought-provoking and sensitive, vulnerable stuff here," Poehler continued, before pausing. "You know, I'm trying not to hide right now behind being cool and funny. And man, it's hard 'cause it comes so naturally to me. But genuinely, I just wanted to express my gratitude."

"If you want people to know you, you have to show them who you are," the 52-year-old said before wishing her followers a good end to 2023.

"Let's end this year right," she concluded.

This year, Poehler stepped into relatively new territory when she released and starred in the scripted podcast Say More with Dr? Sheila with her friend Liz Cackowski.
