Anne Hathaway is taking her fashion to new heights and her shorts to higher hems.

On Wednesday, the Oscar winner, 41, attended a New York City screening of her new movie Eileen wearing her take on the rising no-pants trend, which has been previously worn by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Julia Fox, plus a slew of Bravolebrities at this year’s Bravocon.

Hathaway’s take on the popular look, as seen in a new Instagram photo shared by her stylist Erin Walsh, consisted of a red Valentino button-up shirt layered over teensy shorts, giving off the illusion that the top served as a dress.

“On Wednesdays we wear no pants. Well, to be fair, @maisonvalentino @pppiccioli did make the cutest teeniest little pants which are hiding here but you get the idea!” Walsh explained of the outfit.

Hathaway's attire was rounded out with black over-the-knee Proenza Schouler boots and bling from Bulgari, as well as Effy Jewelry, which was all tagged in the post.

The actress has risen to new fashion fame in recent years, partly due to Walsh’s genius and partly because of her own risk-taking outlook on style.

Her renaissance has featured everything from denim-on-denim to Barbiecore and lots of Versace, including the sparkly mint green argyle gown she wore to the 2023 Albies in September (Claudia Schiffer debuted the number at Versace’s Spring ‘24 show).

She's even taken a stab at wearing outfits that her Devil Wears Prada character Andy Sachs would approve of (see: her Michael Kors New York Fashion Week 'fit, which Hathaway confessed was an "accident" but was a monumental moment nonetheless).

So, what inspired the mom of two to hit the grounding running at full speed in her 40s?

“In this moment everybody's taking risks and I feel like there's more than one way to do it right now, which means that you don't have to hit a mark, you just have to be yourself — and that feels wonderful,” she previously told PEOPLE.

“Erin and I believe that style is an expression, and I trust her, which makes me feel like I can be braver. We don't take it too seriously. This isn't a dress rehearsal; this is life. I was given so many things at such a young age, and I didn't always know how to appreciate them. I felt badly about myself in certain things, and I didn't know how to enjoy what I was wearing. Now I'm wearing things that I enjoy, and I'm wearing them gratefully — and that seems to be working."
