‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4 Finally Has a Release Date
Only Murders in the Building is coming back, everyone—and this time we’re leaving the Arconia. Season 4 will hit Hulu this summer with a slew of new characters, as Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) head to Hollywood. Things are about to get a lot more interesting for our favorite podcasters—which is saying a lot for this crew.
In the season 3 finale, we finally learn who killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd), only for another murder mystery to emerge. A sniper kills Charles’s stunt-double-slash-friend Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). While investigating the attack, the Only Murders posse is drawn to Los Angeles, where a film studio is drafting a movie based on their podcast. Could the company be tied to the attack? Who knows?!? The plot thickens when Charles, Mabel, and Oliver are pulled back to New York and question their neighbors living in the Arconia’s western tower. As always, anyone could be a suspect.
Season 4’s guest stars include Melissa McCarthy, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, and Richard Kind. This comes as no surprise, seeing as the series creator, John Hoffman, said he wanted to keep working on the show—and celebrity cameos have become an Only Murders tradition. When Screen Rant asked how many seasons he’d make, Hoffman said, “as many as they’ll have us for.”

The season 3 finale reveals some major secrets. Ben’s murder involved two key players—and in typical Only Murders fashion, the season ends with a cliff-hanger. The episode’s final moments introduce a new mystery for Mabel, Charles, and Oliver to solve—and this one hits close to home. Sazz has been shot, and the podcasters have to find the assailant.
Who Will Appear in Season 4?
Don’t fret, folks—the core crew is still intact, alongside last season’s Meryl Streep and a slew of celebrity guests (see above). Hopefully, given the story’s timeline, some of the cast members from Death Rattle will rejoin the drama, too. Maybe Streep’s Loretta will bring one of her costars along for the ride.
