Ant and Dec unveil surprise I'm a Celebrity twist in premiere

Ant and Dec revealed a twist in the opening episode of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, with the campmates being surprised by a late arrival.
The first episode of the new-look All-Stars series, which features contestants from previous iterations of the show, aired on ITV1 tonight, with the nine celebrities being split into groups of three before meeting in the camp later on.
Just as they began to settle in their newfound surroundings, the hosts delivered a surprise, with a large box being brought in at the end of the episode.

As the contestants opened up the box, Gillian McKeith, who competed in the 10th series back in 2010, jumped out.
"I couldn't let you do this without Jungle Gill," she announced.
During the 2010 series, McKeith clashed with musician Shaun Ryder multiple times. On one occasion he referred to the TV nutritionist as a "a f***ing irritating woman". Needless to say, he was not best pleased to see her pop out of the box and a preview for tomorrow's show saw him exclaiming that Gillian "should have stayed in the box".

"Now when I think about doing I’m A Celebrity again, I feel apprehensive and petrified,” McKeith said prior to going back into the jungle. "It’s going to be more terrifying this time because, back then, I didn’t know what to expect, but this time I can’t use that as an excuse.
"What I felt before feels 1000 times worse now and all of it freaks me out, but I feel I’ve got a calling to represent all the scaredy cats in Britain – and that is the reason why I’ve said yes," she added.
I'm a Celebrity… South Africa airs on Mondays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
