It's taken way too long but Ant-Man star Paul Rudd has finally found out about AEW's Orange Cassidy.

Cassidy, the current AEW All-Atlantic champion, has one of the most unique gimmicks in all of wrestling. Usually dressed in jeans and a denim jacket, the core of his character is that he just can't be bothered.

From delivering weak shin kicks to his opponents, to constantly wearing sunglasses and giving a 'thumbs up' in place of actually speaking, Cassidy is the laziest wrestler you'll ever see.

Cassidy has previously revealed that his gimmick was inspired by one particular scene from 2001 comedy Wet Hot American Summer, where Paul Rudd's character Andy doesn't want to clean up.

In the scene, Rudd is dressed in jeans and a denim jacket and eventually puts on sunglasses after he argues with Janeane Garofalo's character about cleaning up a mess he made after knocking a plate off a table.

Cassidy also uses Jefferson Aeroplane's 'Jane' from the Wet Hot American Summer soundtrack as his entrance music in AEW.

During an interview with Esquire Middle East to promote Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Rudd was asked: "Are you aware that there's a wrestler who's based his entire character around you in Wet Hot American Summer?"

Rudd was then shown a picture of Cassidy by William Mullally who told him: "His name is Orange Cassidy, you've got to look into that, it's a real thing, I'm not joking."

Rudd replied: "That's amazing. How did I not know this? Thank you for telling me."

Now perhaps we'll see Rudd in AEW soon, after all someone needs to help Paul Walter Hauser get his Golden Globe back.
