Anthony Edwards’ highly anticipated low-top sneaker is set to finally hit the market near the end of the summer.

The Adidas AE 1 Low “Mural” will release in August as the first low-top variant of the superstar’s signature sneaker. Edwards debuted the sneaker in Game 1 of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ first-round matchup against the Phoenix Suns. To promote the occasion, posted a spot to social media featuring Edwards in a convertible tagline: “Higher stakes. Lower shoes.”

“Mural” is a flip on the the AE 1’s “With Love” launch colorway from December. Applications of pink and peach have been swapped for the lower-cut sneaker, as pink now takes over the TPU wings, sole unit and toe cap. Peach is then plugged into the Adidas logo atop the carbon fiber heel stabilizer, and a set of additional laces should feature the same shade as well. The Primegreen knit upper remains in black, albeit with its collar cropped for a low-top fit.

Edwards’ first signature sneaker has been the buzziest model in basketball since hitting stores late last year, regularly selling out in new colorways and earning praise as one of the best signature models in the history of the sport. Along with the Harden Vol. 8, the AE 1 has also planted the flag for a new era of Adidas Basketball and anchored the brand’s hoop devision as the most intriguing in the space.

As the Timberwolves’ playoff journey continued through to the Western Conference Finals, Edwards revealed two additional AE 1 Low colorways in a marbled grey and black, a well as neon green and black.

The Adidas AE 1 Low “Mural” will release in August through Adidas’ website and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $110, which is $10 less than the standard mid-top.
