Apple TV+ Signs First-Look Deal With Maya Rudolph’s Newly Formed Company Banana Split Projects

EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of the season two finale of Apple’s critically acclaimed comedy series Loot, starring Maya Rudolph (who also exec produces), Apple TV+ has signed a multi-year, first-look deal with Banana Split Projects, the newly formed production company run by Maya Rudolph and Danielle Renfrew Behrens.  Under the deal, Apple TV+ will have a first-look on series and digital features developed and produced by Banana Split.

In addition to Loot, Rudolph and Behrens have produced a handful of series and films together including Prime Video’s adult animated series The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy, which is currently in production on its second season, the feature Crush, the comedy special Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine, the award-winning documentary Sirens, the first season of mystery series Poker Face and Azazel Jacobs’s His Three Daughters, which will be released later this year. Tara Riedl will be joining Banana Split as Creative Executive
