The Apprentice spoilers follow.

Lord Alan Sugar fired Virdi Mazaria in the latest episode of The Apprentice.

Airing on BBC One tonight (March 14), Week Seven of the entrepreneurial reality show saw the two teams, Nexus and Supream, jetting off to Budapest to cash in on the capital city's 150th birthday.

Their task was to set up and run bespoke tours with the aim of accumulating the highest ticket revenue - the only catch was that paying punters could ask for their money back should the tours not live up to expectations.

Project manager Maura Rath went down the winery tour route while her rival Rachel Woolford opted for a boat ride down The Danube.

In the boardroom, it was confirmed that the former made a task-winning €1170 profit with no refunds, and were treated to the immersive Fawlty Towers dining experience.

Team Supreme brought in just over €660, which led Rachel to choose Foluso Falade and Virdi for the firing line alongside herself.

Reporting back to the boss, Karen Brady said as the trio waited outside the boardroom: "Look, Virdi, very nice young man but the fact is you've given them seven tasks and he's been on the losing team seven times, and that's got to be a concern Alan..."

Trying to dig himself out of a hole, Virdi reflected: "I really feel like Lord Sugar is looking for an entrepreneur and I feel like the definition of that. The way your character is I really feel like you look at me as a younger version of you, because I've got that craze and that drive to work hard."

It really didn't pay off, though, with Sugar subsequently deciding to fire him. "Do well, good luck, stay in touch," he added.

From the backseat of the taxi, Virdi jokingly told the cameras: "Get me his WhatsApp number because I'm gonna message him everyday!"

The Apprentice airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One, with spin-off series You're Fired airing immediately afterwards on BBC Two.
