Aptos Appoints Chief Technology Officer to Spearhead Technical Innovation

Aptos, the unified commerce solution provider, has named Tushar Sachdev chief technology officer, and will report to Pete Sinisgalli, chief executive officer. The company said in a statement that as CTO, Sachdev “will serve on Aptos’ executive leadership team and help drive technical innovation across the firm’s three business units — Aptos, LS Retail and Revionics.”

Sachdev previously served as CTO and executive vice president of analytics at Kore. And before that he was chief information officer at PRGX Global. Sachdev also had various roles at Infosys, Mastek and NIIT. Sachdev fills a role at Aptos that had been vacant.

Aside from his CTO role at Aptos, Sachdev will lead product development for the company’s business unit and will report to Jeremy Grunzweig, general manager. “In this position, [Sachdev] will oversee all aspects of core engineering, with a focus on delivering the highest-quality software products at the accelerated pace the retail market demands,” the company said.

Sinisgalli said Sachdev’s 30 years of experience in “engineering depth, expertise in enterprise SaaS and proven abilities in leading global teams at high-growth software companies make him a strategic addition to Aptos.”

“Throughout his career, [Sachdev] has helped organizations deliver transformational products built on modern architectures,” Sinisgalli said. “We look forward to [Sachdev]’s impact on our technical direction, with an emphasis on customer-centric development and shared innovation across our business units.”

Aptos said Sachdev’s arrival “comes at a time when Aptos, LS Retail and Revionics all are growing share in their respective markets as demand for unified commerce and price optimization software intensifies.” This includes the rollout of Aptos One, the centerpiece of the company’s unified commerce solutions.

Sachdev said he has “tremendous respect for an organization that has been leading in a product area for many years — in Aptos’ case, point of sale and omnichannel — and decides to chart a path harnessing new architectures and methods of delivery. I’ll always be a technologist at heart, so I feel energized to support the transformation journey Aptos is on.”

Sachdev said in addition to Aptos’ unified commerce software, the company “is in a very strong position with its LS Retail and Revionics offerings. LS Retail’s cost-effective and highly configurable software solutions are deployed worldwide, as are Revionics’ AI-powered price optimization solutions.”
