Ariana Grande to Continue Working with Scooter Braun and HYBE Months After Parting Ways

In August 2023, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Grande had parted ways with Braun after 10 years of working together

Months after Ariana Grande left longtime manager Scooter Braun, she is back in business with him.

In a statement to PEOPLE on Wednesday, June 12, representatives for the Eternal Sunshine singer and HYBE announced the partnership is back on.

"Ariana Grande and HYBE, led by CEO Scooter Braun, look forward to continuing their long-standing business partnership and pursuing creative opportunities in Weverse and REM Beauty," the statement reads.

Adding, "Grande in this new chapter will continue to be managed exclusively by Brandon Creed/Good World Management."

News of the reconciliation comes after PEOPLE confirmed Grande, 30, parted ways with Braun, 42 — who became the sole CEO of HYBE America in January (his company Ithaca Holdings merged with HYBE in April 2021) — after a decade of working together.

At the time, a source close to the situation told PEOPLE that it was her call.

"They are friendly but she's outgrown him and is excited to go in a different direction," said the source. "Yes there are negotiations happening because of contracts. But this is her choice. It's time for something new."

Meanwhile, a music industry source with knowledge of the situation previously told PEOPLE that “all of Scooter Braun’s clients are under contract and negotiations have been going on for several months as Scooter steps into his larger role as HYBE America CEO."

Adding, "People are spreading rumors based on what they know, but they are off. Scooter’s team at SB Projects are still handling both Justin [Bieber] and Ariana as they work through what this new structure looks like."

That same month, a source confirmed that Demi Lovato had parted ways with him after announcing their partnership in 2019, call it a dream come true.

In 2018, Braun — who started managing Grande in 2013 — opened up to Variety about a brief hiatus in their working relationship after Grande fired — then rehired — him before the release of her 2016 record.

"They were like, 'Never take her back!,' but I just said 'Let’s stay quiet and let our truth be our actions,'" Braun told the outlet about his team's reaction. "She starts to see the light on some stuff, and one day I got a phone call."

At the time, he said it made him a "better manager."
