Ariana Madix Defends Herself Through Tears After Lala Kent Suggests She Got to 'Dictate' Past Season (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at the third part of the season 11 reunion, Ariana and Lala discuss the fourth-wall breaking conclusion to the dramatic season finale

Lala Kent is not holding back about her thoughts on Ariana Madix's boundary setting.

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at the final part of the season 11 Vanderpump Rules reunion, Lala, 33, and Ariana, 38, discuss the Dancing with the Stars alum's decision to walk out of a party during the finale episode, which Kent called "a slap in the face."

“I was livid that night. Livid," Kent says of the night of the party. "And I’m sorry if I hurt you, but I stand by what I said. And I probably didn’t say it the most eloquently, but this was days and days of me – Scheana [Shay] saw me – I was sobbing on a regular basis."

"I love f---ing filming with you guys, even when you f--- up and I wanna torch you all," Lala then tells her costars, before Lisa Vanderpump jumps in with a clarifying question, saying, “So, you’re saying you felt let down by everybody because the true story that you were getting wasn’t the true story they were filming?”

Kent responds, “It was difficult because I understood where Ariana was coming from, but I was like, why does she get to dictate how this goes down when I’ve never gotten to dictate?”

Andy Cohen then invites Ariana, who becomes emotional, to chime in on the comments Lala made about her, including Lala claiming she "thinks she is Beyoncé" and that it's "bulls--- that she can't film with" her ex Tom Sandoval but she'll "sleep down the hall" from him.

“I don’t think I’m Beyoncé, I don’t think I’m God," Ariana says through tears. "Talking about sobbing on a regular basis — yeah, I don’t do it in front of Scheana, I do it on my own."

Ariana continues, "And arguably, if you wanna talk in show terms, me walking away from that conversation was a lot more interesting than me sitting there and having it. Was that not a better ending to your season, to give you another season for another paycheck?"

“Had I not spoken my mind, it would’ve ended with you walking out the door," Lala hits back.

In the season finale, Lala claimed that the "world rallied around" Ariana after Scandoval, which involved Tom's months-long affair with Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. Lala aditioannly felt it was "a lot" for her to continue waxing on about.

"I get it, he f---ing cheated. You did a really f---ing s---y thing," she said of the headline-making affair in the season 11 finale. "I never in my life experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God."

In a confessional, Lala reflected on her own experience going through a breakup that was documented on the show when she split from her ex-fiancé Randall Emmett, with whom she shares daughter Ocean, in 2021.

"This is what we do. We've been doing this for most of our adult lives," she said. "We've all experienced high highs and low lows and there's a responsibility that comes with living your life on camera. You have to be truthful, even when it's extremely uncomfortable."

Regardless of Lala's opinion, Ariana held fast to her belief that her ex's attempt to talk to her during the party was "a performance for the audience."

“We live these difficult parts of our lives on camera but if it's something that actually really mattered to you regardless, you would do it anyways,” she said in a confessional. “He's never tried to talk to me off camera, he could have written something in a f---ing letter and left it on the kitchen counter and I could have read it at my leisure. But if you would only do it on camera, to me, you just showed your true colors.”
