A man has been arrested after allegedly running through people's gardens armed with a weapon.

Gloucestershire Police said armed officers were deployed to search for the suspect after he was seen in a garden in Stroud around 08:30 BST.

A longbow and several arrows were later recovered from an address, police said.

The man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody for questioning.
