Avril Lavigne continues to display her unique punk rock style while attending fashion shows in Paris. At the June 26 Elie Saab show presenting the brand’s fall 2024 collection, the “Girlfriend” singer wore black leather platform sandals with a vivid purple sequined jacket.
Lavigne’s striking outfit included tight black leather pants which flared at the bottom and partially covered her shoes. She also wore a black button down underneath a sweeping sequined jacket in a vibrant shade of violet. The ankle-length jacket featured deep cut outs at the bottom that made it easy for the singer to swing the garment with unmistakable panache.
Lavigne’s blonde hair was worn out in waves cascading over the front of her outfit and nearly reaching her waist. Meanwhile, her blue irises stood out against dark eye makeup. She capped off the look with a wide-brimmed black hat with a band above the brim.
Lavigne’s footwear certainly contributed to her dramatic look. She wore a pair of platform sandals that seamlessly blended with her leather pants. The peep-toe shoes included a wide strap across the foot and a tall block heel in the back. Her black nail polish was the final touch to the edgy look.
Prior to the Elie Saab event, Lavigne attended the Tamara Ralph haute couture show, wearing a tweed and feathered dress from the brand with dark shiny pumps by Christian Louboutin. The singer herself acknowledged the shoes “sure are different” than her usual festival wardrobe.
Indeed, Lavigne loves a combat boot, especially on stage. In April, she wore lace-up platform boots at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she was on hand to present Green Day with the Landmark Award.
Additional brands that recently put on couture shows include Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior and more.
