B1A4's Gong Chan had a kidney extraction surgery.

On 23rd, B1A4's agency, WM Entertainment announced that Gong Chan had a kidney extraction surgery.

Gong Chan's doctor said, "One of his kidneys wasn't functioning properly, so we decided to extract it."

The agency said, "Gong Chan had pain on his side, and he went to the hospital for closer examination. We found out that Gong Chan was born with weak kidneys, and Gong Chan postponed the surgery, because he wanted to finish the promotion before getting the surgery."

It is said that Gong Chan has been taking morphines for a while to tolerate the pain, and he always maintained his smile in front of the fans and the members.

At the moment, Gong Chan is going through his recovery period, and he will be staying at the hospital for about a week. He will be able to get back to his ordinary life after getting out of the hospital, but he won't be able to get back on to album promotion for a while.
