'The Bachelor' Alum Marlena Wesh Announces Engagement to Tommaso Matelli: 'A Million Times Yes'

Wesh previously appeared on the 26th season of the ABC series in 2022

Marlena Wesh is engaged and ready for the "next chapter" in her love story!

The Bachelor alum and former Olympian, who appeared on the show's 26th season in 2022, announced her plans to marry now-fiancé Tommaso Martelli in a heartfelt Instagram post Christmas morning.

"I have so much I want to say…. But I can’t find the words right now," Wesh, 32, shared with her followers. "Thank you @tommy_405 for being intentional with my heart. Thank you for loving me in strength and in weakness. Thank you for fighting for me. Thank you for always choosing me 🥺."

"I will never forget this day. A million times yes," she added. "I am so excited for this next chapter in our love story. Marlena Martelli has a nice 💍 to it. 🥹🇮🇹❤️ #fiancé"

In the Instagram carousel post, West shared a look at her engagement ring as she posed alongside her partner while wearing a red dress and tiny Santa hat. Martelli smiled big in the images while holding a bouquet of flowers and later a bottle of what appears to be champagne.

Other pics from the festive engagement included a loving shot next to a Christmas tree, a picture with other loved ones in Italy (where the photos were tagged) and an emotional video of Wesh and Martelli seemingly calling her family with the happy news. "Daddy, you knew!" she could be heard saying on FaceTime.

Several pals and other members of Bachelor Nation congratulated Wesh on her engagement, including Natasha Parker, Rachel Recchia, Genevieve Parisi and Deandra Kanu.

"Congratulations beautiful!!! I love love!!! ❤️😍," Charity Lawson commented.

Wesh, who is from Virginia and previously appeared on Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor, went Instagram official with her Italian fiancé back in May when she celebrated his birthday.

Since then, the pair briefly opened up about their love story in a July video, when they revealed that they met each other on dating app Bumble in Florida.

"Dating sucks. Seriously. I can’t tell you how many dating apps I downloaded and deleted after swiping for 10 minutes. It gave me anxiety….up until one day… I downloaded Bumble, paid for premium, and put my feet 👣 up. This cute thing was on the other side and it’s been history ever since," she wrote at the time of Martelli.

West has previously described her relationship with Martelli as the "deepest, purest, most unimaginable love I’ve ever felt."
