BBC confirms return date for Gossip Girl reboot's final season
The second and final season of HBO Max's Gossip Girl revival series is finally airing in the UK.
Season two of the scandalous teen drama premiered in the US on December 1, but in January 2023, it was announced that the show had been axed and wouldn't be getting a third season.
The BBC has now confirmed that UK viewers will be able to tune into the final season's first episode on April 11 at 11.05pm on BBC One, with fans able to watch subsequent episodes when they are released on BBC iPlayer at the same time.

Although the Gossip Girl reboot won't be moving forward with HBO, producer Joshua Safran did hint that there could be a new home for it elsewhere.
"The EPs and I will forever be grateful to the network and studio for their faith and support; the writers for their devious brains and dexterous talent; the superstar cast for being the greatest of collaborators and friends; and the crew for their hard work, dedication, and love for the project," he tweeted following the show's cancellation..
"This was honestly the greatest set I ever worked on, top to bottom. We are currently looking for another home, but in this climate, that might prove an uphill battle, and so if this is the end, at least we went out on the highest of highs."

Season one brought back multiple characters from the original cast – including Eleanor Waldorf (Margaret Colin), Cyrus Rose (Wallace Shawn), Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) and Vanya (Aaron Schwartz) – while Michelle Trachtenberg reprises her role of Georgina Sparks in season two.
But it seems the nostalgia wasn't enough for the show to live up to the huge expectations of Gossip Girl fans, as viewership for season two soon dwindled.
Gossip Girl airs on HBO Max in the US, and broadcasts on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
