BBC Radio 1's Jordan North quits station after 10 years
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here star Jordan North is set to leave BBC Radio 1 after ten years at the station.
The DJ and presenter, who currently co-hosts the Going Home show with Vick Hope (3.30pm – 6pm, Monday to Thursday), will be replaced by Strictly and Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, who makes his debut on the station on March 4.
News of North's departure was announced by the BBC, with his employer paying tribute to the "amazing presenter" and his 10 years of service.

"Jordan has been an amazing presenter and a valued colleague at Radio 1, and I’m so proud of his journey with us," said Aled Haydn Jones, Head of Radio 1, in a statement.
"He has always connected with the Radio 1 audience through his shows and projects, as witnessed by the huge amount of money raised for Comic Relief during his rowing trip from London to Burnley."
The official BBC Radio 1 X account also tweeted the news, thanking North for being "behind some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments on air over the years" and hailing him a "source of inspiration for younger presenters".

North joined the station back in 2014, with his first major show being Radio 1’s Greatest Hits on Sundays. He is yet to publicly respond to the news.
In a statement, North's successor Jamie Laing shared his excitement at landing a permanent presenting gig at Radio 1.
"I’ve loved every minute that I’ve been on air with Radio 1 in recent years, so to be joining Vick on Drivetime is just incredible," he said. "To be working with Vick is an absolute dream so I’m beyond excited to get started and keep listeners company on their journeys home."
Whilst Laing officially takes over in early March, the date of North's last show on the station is yet to be confirmed.
