BBC Sport pundit Alex Scott made a surprising appearance at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards as she walked the red carpet in a silver halterneck dress.

The former Lioness, 38, was seen posing up a storm in her striking David Koma look at the star-studded event in Los Angeles.

Taking to her Instagram to document her glitzy evening, the TV star shared several photos of herself glammed up and admitted she had to “pinch herself” as she made her way to the Crypto.com Arena.

Sitting in the car, the sportswoman spoke to her camera and admitted: "I’m like a big kid, I’m so excited!"

After the festivities, Scott let her hair down at Universal Music’s after party with pals as she showcased a table full of drinks, toasting to an incredible experience.

Earlier in the evening, the British star witnessed Beyonce make history by becoming the most decorated Grammy musician of all time after she picked up her 32nd gong in a glittering ceremony.

The pop superstar, 41, made history as she won the best dance/electronic music album award for her latest album Renaissance.

This took the number of Grammys she has won during her two-decade career to 32 – one higher than the previous record which was held by the late Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti.

Meanwhile, the biggest gong of the night – album of the year – went to Harry Styles for his third album Harry’s House, beating both Beyonce and Adele.

Sam Smith won best pop duo/group performance for their chart-topping hit Unholy with trans artist Kim Petras, who also made history for becoming the first transgender woman to win.
