The Sushi Bar Dining has a seating capacity of 110, as compared to its Far East Plaza outlet with a capacity of 78

If you like good, fresh sushi and sashimi or if you’re a fairly frequent visitor to Far East Plaza, chances are, you’ve heard of The Sushi Bar, a modest, but popular Japanese restaurant — and seen its snaking queues.

But here’s the good news for those who have not had the chance to taste The Sushi Bar’s juicy sashimi or flavour-rich dishes: You can skip the queue… for now.

The restaurant has just launched a new outlet, The Sushi Bar Dining, right in the heart of town at Ngee Ann City Level 5.

Most of the media have yet to catch on, so, unlike its Far East Plaza outlet, there are usually no queues, especially during lunch, and you don’t have to worry about being turned away.

The new Wagyu Don makes one salivate upon sight (and smell)

To tie in with the opening of the new restaurant, new dishes, including a Wagyu Don ($34.90) and Aburi Chirashi Don($26.90), will be unveiled.

Co-owner and chef Eugene Heng says: “We’ll be rolling out the new dishes slowly as we do not want The Sushi Bar Dining to be that different from our first outlet.”

As with his first outlet, customers and good, fresh sushi come first.

The official launch of The Sushi Bar Dining was on Jun 19. You’ve been warned.
