Beating the heat, Singapore Zoo-style
by Lester Nyan
As Singapore braces for the warmer and drier months ahead, Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) and the residents of the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari have some useful tips for you to beat the heat.
Tip 1 – Cover up: Protect yourself from the scorching sun with a scarf or an umbrella. And don’t forget the sunglasses.
Tip 2 – Take a dip: The simplest way to beat the heat is to spend some time in the pool. Splashing around or just soaking yourself in the water can prove to be therapeutic too.
Tip 3 – Slather on sunscreen: Apply lots of sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.
Tip 4 – Share a popsicle: Ice cream is the perfect solution for soaring temperatures. Grab a friend and share some icy treats.
Tip 5 – If all else fails, wait it out.
