Bebe Rexha Calls G-Eazy an 'Ungrateful Loser' After Being Asked to Shoot Social Content with Him

The singer-songwriter and the rapper teamed up for the hit song 'Me, Myself & I' in 2015

Bebe Rexha is calling out G-Eazy.

On Thursday, June 13, Rexha, 34, shared a grab of a text message she'd received from her team about potentially shooting some social content with the rapper, 35, in New York.

Rexha collaborated with G-Eazy (né Gerald Earl Gillum) back in 2015 on their hit "Me, Myself & I." They then teamed up for Rexha's All Your Fault: Pt. 1 2017 album track "F.F.F." (F--- Fake Friends). However, since then, their relationship has seemingly soured.

"@geazy you have my number," Rexha wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Stories post.

"Why don't you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser," she added. "You're lucky people are liking you again."

"Cause I could go in on all the s---ty things you've done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit," Rexha continued.

"Btw the answer is no," the hitmaker concluded. "Hope you good," she added, alongside a peace emoji.

The "I'm Good" musician has since removed the grab but made sure to tell her followers why on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"Someone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic," Rexha wrote.

"Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said," she added.

Rexha's comments come after she spoke about her and G-Eazy's working relationship back in 2017.

While speaking to HipHopDX, the star said, “It’s interesting, we’re like the same person. We’re both 27. We both went to school for music management. We love music."

"I think we’re just kind of on the same wavelength when it comes to just wanting to be iconic. Working with him is just such an incredible energy and chemistry. I think we have an amazing chemistry when it comes to music,” she added at the time.

Meanwhile, Gillum said of their collaboration in a 2016 "How I Wrote That Song" clip from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, "We had a mutual friend that linked us up... it was like a blind date," before they came up with the smash hit.

After hearing Rexha's scratch demo, Gillum said, "Those lyrics really stood out to me. I just felt like, 'Wow, this is something really big. Something universal that the world would feel, but that I feel and relate to where my head is at right now.' "

G-Eazy and Rexha's reps didn't immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE.
