Bebe Rexha has been struggling with painful cysts, acne and weight gain in her battle with PCOS.

The 34-year-old singer revealed last year she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and now she has opened up about her symptoms to her followers on social media.

Asked about the condition on TikTok, she recalled the first sign being "super irregular" periods, including once having her period for 20 days.

She also started to notice weight gain after putting on "a lot in four years", and now she has to count calories to manage her daily food intake.

The 'I'm A Mess' hitmaker is currently consuming 1,400 calories a day, and burning around 700 through workouts.

She added: "My doctor once told me that a woman with PCOS can eat a bowl of blueberries and it would be equivalent to like a normal person eating a whole pie of pizza."

She has also been suffering from "bad cysts" and even had to go hospital because she was suffering so badly.

She said: "Two weeks ago I was in Urgent Care. I was in so much pain. My doctor thought it was an appendicitis, it was so bad.

"It was actually a cyst that had burst. Tylenol didn't work, Advil didn't work. I was sick to my stomach the pain was so bad."

Thankfully, a heating bad helped sooth the pain, but there have been other symptoms, including acne and being bloated.

She explained: "I will get super bloated. That's one thing that sucks."

In May 2023, Bebe first opened up about her hormone imbalance, and reflected on her experience.

Speaking to Gayle King on her SiriusXM show, she said: "I definitely struggle with my weight, and I struggle with the way that I look, and it's been tough for me.

"I just found out recently that I have PCOS, and a lot of women have it. And a lot of women have it and don't know.

"It's tough. I think for me, I've been definitely struggling with my weight, and I've been struggling with food forever."
