Perhaps best known in television for his turn as Parks and Rec‘s Jean-Ralphio, he’s most recently put in turns on shows including The Afterparty for Apple TV+ and Greg Daniels and Steve Carell’s Netflix comedy Space Force. Currently Emmy-nominated for his role opposite Kevin Hart in Die Hart 2: Die Harter, he’s been recognized by the TV Academy a total of four times, winning in 2009 as one of the songwriters for Hugh Jackman’s opener to the 81st Academy Awards. Among his other TV credits is Showtime’s House of Lies, which had him starring opposite Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell.

Schwartz recently took his longform improvisation show Ben Schwartz & Friends to the Eventim Apollo, for its UK debut, and continues to see it sell out venues across North America, including Radio City Music Hall. He previously teamed with Silicon Valley‘s Thomas Middleditch for the three-part Netflix comedy special Middleditch and Schwartz, also co-authoring four books and selling projects to Apple, ABC, CBS, Paramount, and Universal.

Now writing a feature for Searchlight as a starring vehicle for himself and Sam Rockwell, as well as an animated show for Netflix, Schwartz continues to be represented by Jesse Hara and Rachel Miller at Haven Entertainment and attorney Tara Kole at Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
