Best Sims 4 Kits: Which Build and CAS Kits to buy
There are a lot of Kits for The Sims 4 – more than 30, in fact. So it's understandable if you're a little overwhelmed by all the choice.
If you need a refresher, Kits are mini-collections of curated content to help players further customise their game experience. Maybe it's an early hint for how content for The Sims 5 will be rolled out?
Each one costs £4.99 in the UK and $4.99 in the US. They're significantly cheaper than the larger packs (we've listed the best Sims 4 expansion packs here), but that also means they're far smaller in scope, often based on a niche theme.
Kits also don't tend to see discounts in Sims 4 sales like expansions do.
We've tried all of the Kits, and so below, we present our favourites. But it's also worth bearing in mind that you're only supposed to buy Kits that thematically appeal to you. After all, everyone has different tastes.
We also highly recommend looking up the contents of a Kit yourself (via EA's website or elsewhere) before purchasing.
The list is split into two categories: Build/Buy and CAS. The latest update was made on June 7, 2024, following the release of the Cozy Bistro and Riviera Retreat Kits.
Best Sims 4 Build Kits
Build/Buy Kits consist of items that can be used for your builds, and these can range from furniture to windows and doors.
Each Build/Buy Kit tends to focus on either a specific theme (such as a New York-inspired loft) or items for a specific room (such as a basement or greenhouse).
Our Favourites
Book Nook Kit is a standout, providing Simmers further options to create their dream reading space. The furniture items here, which include customisable and stackable bookshelves, are not only really solid but also quite versatile and can work for a living room or study. It's probably our most-used Kit for builds.
Pastel Pop Kit is certainly up there in terms of charm, offering a range of adorable and quirky furniture that comes in eye-catching pastel colours.

Modern Luxe Kit is well done if you're looking for bedroom items that have a luxurious feel to them.
Cozy Bistro Kit is great for builders wanting more options when building their ideal café or bar.
Blooming Rooms Kit is certainly worth considering for Simmers who are always looking for more plants and greenery options.
Little Campers Kit deserves a shout-out, providing some welcome outdoor-themed items for child Sims to take advantage of. More options for younger Sims is nearly always a good thing, particularly for family gameplay.
Everyday Clutter Kit provides a selection of themed clutter items for the most passionate of builders, to make your households feel more lived-in.
There's also a separate Bathroom Clutter Kit, which is more focused on — as the name implies — bathroom clutter, but out of the two, the more versatile and polished Everyday Clutter Kit has the edge.
Best Sims 4 CAS Kits
CAS Kits come with a range of items that can be equipped on your Sims via Create-a-Sim mode. These will typically feature a decent amount of clothing, but may also include accessories and nails.
Each CAS Kit focuses on a particular fashion style (such as '90s-themed athletic wear) or type of clothing (such as for the bedroom).
Our Favourites
Incheon Arrivals Kit is a real highlight. Inspired by Seoul airport fashion, the clothing pieces in this Kit and their accompanying swatches look stylish and great, while filling a niche that was previously not covered in the game.
Grunge Revival Kit brings a welcome range of everyday clothing items and accessories in a grunge-inspired style that was also previously a little lacking in the game. Baggy hoodies, faded jeans, and chipped nail polish are some of the items that can be found in this Kit.
Goth Galore Kit is inspired by contemporary goth fashion, so unsurprisingly you can expect to see belts and buckles as well as mesh, leather, and platform shoes.
The selection of black clothing is nice and versatile, and we had fun incorporating these items in our Sims' looks for a variety of different occasions.

Carnaval Streetwear Kit, designed in collaboration with drag queen Pabllo Vittar, is inspired by Brazil's Carnaval, with bold, fun, and expressive clothing items that are wonderful for parties and events.
First Fits Kit adds much-welcome new clothing options for child Sims. While the variety is fairly limited, the items here are cute and look comfortable.
Urban Homage Kit features fashion that's inspired by trends from the '90s and Noughties. The clothing items are fun, bold, and worth checking out.
Moonlight Chic Kit offers more options for nights out. They look pretty good, and can see a lot of usage.
Fashion Street Kit is inspired by Mumbai's fashion scene, and comes with nose rings and henna tattoos as well as a really striking wrap skirt. More diversity is always welcome.
