Beyond Paradise stars Kris Marshall, Dylan Llewellyn and Zahra Ahmadi shared a sweet reunion at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night (September 5).

Taking to Instagram after the awards ceremony, where Beyond Paradise missed out on winning the award for best new drama to Netflix's Wednesday, Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford) shared a sweet photo of himself posing next to co-stars Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams) and Marshall (DI Humphrey Goodman).

"Amazing night at the NTAs last night, thank you to everyone who voted," the Derry Girls actor captioned the post.

Meanwhile, speaking on the NTAs red carpet, Llewellyn and Ahmadi were asked about the crime drama's upcoming second season and promised some "cracking guest stars".

While he cast doubt on any Death in Paradise crossovers, Llewellyn told Digital Spy and other media: "There are some guest stars, but I don't know what we can say."

"We have got some cracking guest stars. I was properly starstruck with one," Ahmadi added.

Going on to tease what fans can expect to see from the second outing, Ahmadi continued: "It's like season one, but upgraded. Some of the episode have higher stakes.

"More of the same, but amped up. It goes into more of our characters a bit more, it goes into the backstory of our characters."

The cast will also return for a Christmas special, which was announced alongside season two's renewal earlier this year.

"We can’t wait to get our amazing cast back together to continue the story – and to be able to pay a visit to Shipton Abbott at Christmas is even better," executive producer Tim Key said at the time.

Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise, air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
