Big Bang G-Dragon’s ‘Crooked’ Selected as MTV Iggy’s Song of the Year

Continuing to prove his global influence, Big Bang member G-Dragon’s Crooked was selected as MTV Iggy’s Song of the Year.

The poll was taken between December 13 through 20, from music fans around the world and G-Dragon’s Crooked took first place by taking 47.7% of the votes, closely followed by Bunji Garlin’s Differentology, which earned 47.68% of the votes.

Crooked was one of the double title tracks of G-Dragon’s second solo album Coup D’etat released last September, and it beat out Psy’s Gentleman, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky, Drake’s Started From the Bottom and more.

YG′s 2NE1’s Falling in Love was also nominated for the poll, proving itself a representative girl group in K-Pop.

The poll also introduced the Big Bang member’s song by stating, “Big Bang’s G-Dragon made a big splash in the world of K-pop and beyond with his solo album Coup D’etat. “Crooked” from that album was the endlessly replayable sound of him breaking big. Ahem. We called it in 2012.”

Meanwhile, Big Bang will be holding a concert titled ‘2014 BIGBANG +α IN SEOUL’ between January 24 and 26 to meet with its fans in Korea.
