Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons responds to fan spin-off request
The Big Bang Theory favourite Jim Parsons has responded to a spin-off request from fans.
Apparently, Young Sheldon's Iain Armitage is a dead ringer for the one and only Michael Keaton, who will reprise his Beetlejuice role this September, and so many Big Bang viewers are clamouring for an 'older Sheldon Cooper' series with Keaton in the main role.
"It is interesting. There's definitely a resemblance," Parsons told talkshow host Jimmy Fallon. "Let me tell you this: I doubt [a spin-off is] going to happen. But I would be so excited to have Michael Keaton added to the lineage of Sheldon portrayers. I would be amazed."

While they were on the subject of the Birdman actor, Parsons revealed he's "admired that man my entire life, starting with Mr. Mom".
Young Sheldon's series finale cropped up in conversation too, with Parsons due to make his comeback as middle-aged Sheldon alongside Mayim Bialik's Amy Farrah Fowler.
"The only thing that was weird was the first time she and I got on set, we did our first rehearsal, and it was like, 'huh.' And we were walking back to the dressing room and she goes, 'I really thought I'd feel more confident'. And that nails it. I don't know what it is," he said to Fallon.
"It wasn't like riding a bike, it was like, 'Oh! Ah! God!'"
