Big Brother viewers are worried that one of the housemates is going to quit the show.

The fly on the wall series has returned to TV screens for the first time after a five year absence and fans have been gripped by the antics of the latest crop of housemates since it started earlier this month.

Youth worker Hallie - who has revealed to her fellow housemates that she is a transgender woman - has become an early favourite, but some fans fear that she won't last the distance after recent scenes saw her becoming upset.

"I don't want to get upset, I'm just in such a negative mindset," she said as she became tearful on the show.

The 18-year-old went on: "I'm finding it hard to express myself completely and truthfully if you know what I mean?"

"It's just hard and overwhelming being thrown into the mix with 15 other people," she said.

Viewers are now predicting that Hallie could leave the reality TV show.

"Not gonna lie, I think Hallie is gonna be the first to walk," one person posted on X, which used to be Twitter.

Another said: "Hallie made me sob towards the end of tonight's episode of Big Brother.

"She deserves the entire world - I hope she doesn't quit the show :(."

"I hope she doesn't leave this week," said someone else.

"Got a feeling Hallie is gunna walk…" agreed another viewer.

Others said they wanted her to stay and go all the way. "Really hope Hallie wins #BigBrother, seems she has her heart in the right place and wears it on her sleeve," one said.

One thing remains certain, which is one of the housemates will be evicted on Friday night's show.

Eviction odds:

TV personality Farida - who previously appeared on Blankety Blank - could be the first Big Brother housemate evicted from the show, according to the latest betting odds from William Hill.

The make-up artist, from Wolverhampton, also seen on Come Dine With Me, is the clear favourite at 4/1 to leave the house, having already clashed with several of her housemates.

Meanwhile, Matty, Henry and Tom all have tied odds of 6/1.

Yinrun, a clear favourite in the show, remains the least likely to leave the show in the eviction.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: "Farida has certainly made a few comments which have divided opinion so far and she looks in danger of being the first voted out.

"We make her the 4/1 favourite to leave the Big Brother house, but it’s a wide-open market and Matty, Henry and Tom, who are all 6/1, could face the chop at this early stage."

The full odds:

Farida 4/1

Jenkin 6/1

Tom 6/1

Henry 7/1

Matty 7/1

Chanelle Bowen 8/1

Trish 9/1

Zak 10/1

Noky 10/1

Paul 12/1

Kerry 14/1

Dylan 20/1

Hallie 20/1

Jordan 33/1

Yinrun 33/1

Big Brother continues tonight (12 October) at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
