Big Brother has aired the first part of the revival's first shopping task tonight (October 11), and viewers have been reminded of classic BB — which makes sense, since it's been done before — as well as I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and an ill-fated Channel 4 show.

In a business-themed task, Trish, Yinrun and Henry were tasked as the large-and-in-charge Big Wigs (replete with actual big wigs), and Hallie, Tom, Jenkin, Olivia, Dylan, Chanelle, Paul and Noky were the Bottoms, forced to do the monotonous job of sorting out paperclips.

Meanwhile, Jordan, Farida, Kerry, Zak and Matty were the Middle Managers, having to act as go-betweens, while pretending to type on their computers.

The business hierarchy aspect reminded viewers of Channel 4's Rise and Fall, which aired one series earlier this year before being cancelled.

Viewers on Twitter/X thought this task was actually better than the axed show, and praised it for capturing the silly fun of Big Brother's own 2000s heyday.

There were some mini challenges within the larger task. Jordan was specifically designated as fire warden, complete with flashing alarm on a hard hat.

He had to follow instructions in a book and evacuate every housemate every time an alarm went off, and if he didn't get everyone outside in a specific shape in time, the whole task would be an instant fail.

Jordan took to his role with absolutely zero enthusiasm, and fans couldn't find it more endearing.

And that's not all. Zak and Paul had to go into the sorting office and put mail in different in pigeon holes based on the address written on them... while being covered in fake bird poo in a very I'm a Celeb fashion.

There's another day of this shopping task left. Will the housemates succeed? Will Big Brother keep up the entertaining twists? Will Kerry and Farida continue to butt heads?

Big Brother airs on Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
