Billie Eilish concert footage on TikTok has ignited a larger conversation about concert etiquette: 'Don't be this person at a concert'

Few things are more annoying than seeing one of your favorite performers live and having another concertgoer ruin it for you.

But what if the person next to you was seemingly trying to “out-sing” the headliner? That’s precisely what one person on TikTok says happened when they recently went to a Billie Eilish concert.

The clip was shared by Mikayla Breé (@thefamousmikbar), who appears to have scored tickets to Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” world tour. But while Mikayla filmed the “Ocean Eyes” singer performing some of her greatest hits on stage, all the camera picks up is another audience member’s singing.

“Your not the main character,” Breé captioned the post, along with an eye-roll emoji.

In the comments, people were equally shocked by what they’d just heard.

“IM CRYING,” one person wrote.

“she was tryna get a record contract,” joked someone else.

“It’s like she’s expecting her to go ‘Stop the show immediately! Who has that ANGELIC voice!?!?'” someone else said of Eilish.

The clip is part of a larger conversation on the platform about concert etiquette — especially in a post-pandemic world. Recently, a couple attending a Taylor Swift concert in Texas faced backlash after another audience member filmed them grinding.

Others admitted that they thought the TikToker might have been a bit condescending when they first came across the post. But it didn’t take them long to change their opinion.

“when I first read it I was like ‘can’t be that bad just let people have fun’ but nvm,” one TikToker wrote.

“I thought you were being petty at first but the longer this video went on I am 100 percent on your side,” added another.

“sis be having her own concert,” someone else joked.

Most of all, though, people just couldn’t get over how this concertgoer could be so unaware of basic concert etiquette. Or that she didn’t seem to take the hint when several people in front of her turned around to give a “look.”

“You would think the glares would be enough to STOP,” one person said.

“Don’t be this person at a concert omfg,” another advised.
