Travel bloggers Jennika and Alex Anderson went viral on TikTok for incorporating Dairy Queen into a video revealing that they are pregnant with their first child. The clip, which has more than 5 million views since being posted on Dec. 26, sees the biracial couple seated in a booth at the chain.
Jennika is eating a vanilla ice cream cone while Alex eats a chocolate cone, and then a twist cone slides into view. “We have some news… our little half and half coming May 2024 👶🏽,” they wrote over the video.

Dairy Queen's official account shared their love on the video, writing in a comment, “So sweet! 💕 Congratulations!!”
Several other viewers approved of the Andersons' method of announcing they’re expecting, with one writing, “This is seriously the cutest announcement 😍.” Another commented, “One of the best announcements I’ve seen.”
Jennika tells PEOPLE that they “love Dairy Queen. We wanted to come up with a fun and original baby announcement idea that we had never seen before, so my husband thought of doing the ice cream cones to announce our baby!”

Another bonus that made them choose the ice cream chain: “My special needs brother has worked at Dairy Queen for 7 years, so that’s another reason why we chose DQ,” adds Jennika, who is due in May.

The couple have since taken to posting other sweet videos as they share their exciting news with their family members. Jennika told her mom she's pregnant by placing photos from an ultrasound in a Culver's bag, which was met with tears and excitement — as well as a bit of disbelief.
The Andersons met in 2011 as teammates on their college track team and married in 2014. They document their travels on Instagram and TikTok.
