Bob Vila Lists His Longtime Florida Home for $52.9 Million — and His Son Holds the Listing!

The home expert and his wife Diana Barrett gave the stunning Palm Beach property a complete makeover when they bought it in 2005

Bob Vila is parting ways with his longtime Florida home!

The famous home expert, known for his shows This Old House and Home Again with Bob Vila, has officially listed his sprawling abode in Palm Beach, Florida, for $52.9 million. It's located on Everglades Island and features a private waterfront with stunning views of Lake Worth Lagoon.

Built in the 1940s, the seven-bedroom, six-bathroom property underwent a complete renovation and expansion in 2006, just a year after Vila and his wife Diana Barrett purchased the home. This is the first time it has entered the market in almost 50 years since Barrett’s parents purchased it in 1975.

Chris Vila — Bob and Diana’s son — of PB Realty Advisors currently holds the listing.

Looking inside the home, the eat-in kitchen offers extensive counter space, including a center island equipped with a sink. An additional sink can be found in the kitchen along with barstool seating.

Guests can marvel at the waterfront views while sharing a meal in the spacious dining room. Meanwhile, the formal living room boasts a cozy fireplace and stained glass windows.

In the other living area, floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors allow for indoor/outdoor living, while the black-and-white checkered floors add a unique touch.
