Bomb training 'controlled explosions' warning

Guernsey Police is warning residents that bomb disposal training is due to take place later.

A spokesperson said the training was due to be carried out at Fort Le Marchant between 11:00 and 14:00 BST.

They warned there would be "a number of controlled explosions" but said the public should not be alarmed.

The area around Fort Le Marchant would be closed and cordoned off from 08:00 until 14:00, they added.
