A trailer for The Boys spin-off Gen V is here and it teases as many outrageous, gory actions as the hit Prime Video series.

The show, which will follow superhero students at Godolkin University for Supes, will see performances from Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

After executive producer Seth Rogen teased the series will be even more "shocking" than The Boys, fans have been eagerly anticipating its release on September 29.

Ahead of its release, Gen V's full trailer has dropped giving fans an insight into the mayhem set to unfold.

The trailer begins with the students getting to know the prestigious college, desperately trying to pick out superhero names that best fit their powers.

But while some students plan their endorsements and costumes, others are wrapped up in something sinister as the evil that lurks behind closed doors is exposed.

While the trailer doesn't give away what exactly this is, it does show some of the brutal ultraviolence fans will witness with splatters of gore and a scene of Little Cricket (Lizze Broadway) swimming in a pool of blood inside an ear.

We are introduced to some of the new faces of the school including Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo), and Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger), as well as some returning ones in Vought leader Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) and Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas).

The official synopsis for the show gives fans another taste of chaos, saying: "Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.

"It's part college show, part Hunger Games - with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys."

Gen V is set concurrently with the fourth season of The Boys, which Simon Pegg has said will be its 'craziest' yet.

He told Collider: "You know how crazy The Boys is? It's gonna get crazier. I had so much fun on that show. It was so great to go back and play Hugh Sr. I love Jack [Quaid].

"It was great to work with Rosemarie DeWitt, who plays Hughie’s mom, who comes back. It's going to be great. You're gonna love it."

Gen V will be released on September 29 on Prime Video. The Boys seasons 1-3 are streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 is in production.
