Bravo Pilot ‘My So Called Wife’ Casts Mark Harelik in Recurring Role (Exclusive)

Bravo’s dark comedy pilot “My So Called Wife” has added Mark Harelik in a recurring role, TheWrap has learned exclusively.

Additionally, the network announced more details about the pilot on Monday, as well as casting for its other new pilot “True Fiction.”

On “My So Called Wife,” Inbar Lavi plays the lead role of Maddie, a con-artist who seduces men and women into marrying her before disappearing with their money, and getting dirt on them in the meantime so they can’t go to the police.

Rob Heaps has been cast in the role of Ezra, Maddie’s latest victim, while Parker Young will play one of her past cons, Stephen Bishop is taking on the role of Patrick, her potential next target.

Harelik will play the role of Arthur, Ezra’s father, who will recur in multiple episodes if the series gets picked up.

The pilot hails from Adam Brooks, Paul Adelstein and Universal Cable Prods. Brooks is co-writing with Adelstein and will also direct.

On “True Fiction,” Olivia Grant has been cast in the lead role of Clea Turner, a novelist and college professor who must decide whether to take credit for the work of a late student. Stephen Friedrich will play Parker, the late student, with James Ransone as the detective in Parker’s murder case.

“True Fiction” is written and executive produced by Brian Dannelly and Michael Urban for Universal Cable Productions, with Dannelly set to direct.
